From the phone you'll take to the park, go to patagoniaforecast.com and tap the install link. Desde el celular que vas a llevar al parque, accede a patagoniaforecast.com y toca el enlace de instalación.

This installs it as an app — no app store needed. Esto la instala como app, sin pasar por ninguna tienda.

Activate your PIN from the app icon Activa tu PIN desde el ícono de la app

Open the app you just installed — from the home screen icon, not from the browser — and enter your VP-xxxxx PIN. Best done the day before you reach the park, on Wi-Fi. Abre la app que acabas de instalar —desde el ícono, no desde el navegador— e ingresa tu PIN VP-xxxxx. Lo ideal es hacerlo el día antes de llegar al parque, con Wi-Fi.

Wait for the green badge — then you're set Espera el indicador verde y listo

Give it a few minutes on Wi-Fi: it saves your trail, the 72-hour forecast and the topographic map to your phone. When FIELD-READY turns green you can hike with no signal. On the trail the forecast refreshes with any signal — even 3G at refugios and campsites, and the 10 WiFi spots in the park. Maps are never downloaded again. Dale unos minutos con Wi-Fi: guarda tu sendero, el clima de 72 horas y el mapa topográfico en el teléfono. Cuando el indicador LISTO PARA TERRENO se pone verde, ya puedes caminar sin señal. En el sendero el clima se actualiza con cualquier señal —incluso 3G en refugios y campamentos, y los 10 sectores con WiFi del parque—. Los mapas no se vuelven a descargar.

Your PIN is valid for 12 days from first activation. Activate it the day before you enter the park, on Wi-Fi, so the maps download in time. Tu PIN es válido por 12 días desde la primera activación. Actívalo el día antes de entrar al parque, con Wi-Fi, para que alcancen a bajar los mapas.
